I’m Majesta Lueck
My journey into pet photography began with my own furry family and the simple wish to capture their story.
I quickly realized that every wag, purr, and playful glance holds a memory worth preserving.
What started as a way to celebrate my own pets grew into a passion for helping other people do the same.
Because our animals aren’t just companions, they’re family. Through my lens, I aim to honor the joy, quirks, and unconditional love that make each pet truly unforgettable.
Growing up in a small town in Minnesota, I was lucky to meet pets of all shapes, sizes, and species. From big to small, fur to feathers, and even scales, I’ve always believed that every animal is special in their own unique way. I don’t just photograph pets.
I connect with them, celebrate them, and capture what makes them truly one-of-a-kind.
My deep love for animals has led me to share my life with two wild (but wonderful) rescue dogs
Beau
a German Shepherd mix who looks like he means business, but is secretly a big softie. We adopted Beau in 2020, he was shy and not sure of the world around him but over the years he has grown to be a great dog.
Will
a Terrier - Pitbull mix who hasn’t quite grasped that not everyone wants a 60-pound lap dog
(but that doesn’t stop him from trying!)
We adopted Will in 2023 from Nebraska, it took a long time for him to adjust to Minnesota weather but he quickly learned he loved it here.
Oh… and I also have six cats. Yes, six... all rescues, each with their own story.
Tank
was born in my home along with his brother after I rescued their mom from the streets. Tank has a short and sleek coat. He can be a little standoffish at first but he has such a sweet personality, and he has only ever known a warm loving home since the day he was born.
Hupie
is Tank’s brother, also born in my home. Unlike Tank, Hupie has soft, medium-length fur that gives him a fluffier look. He can be more shy and tends to have a face like he has seen a ghost but he too, has grown up surrounded by love and comfort from the very beginning.
Tom
is a gray tabby who survived two brutal winters after being abandoned near my property. He was completely feral when I trapped and rehabilitated him. Today, he’s the sweetest cat I’ve ever met and loves almost everyone he meets.
Kovu
was rescued after he tumbled under a moving vehicle. When I found him, he was about 9 years old and completly skin and bones, covered in wounds and mats, and missing several teeth. After getting him medical care and checking for a microchip (none found) I searched for an owner, but no one came forward. He’s now a cherished member of the family, and he almost looks like an older version of Hupie.
Rainy Day
(or Rainy for short) showed up during a thunderstorm at just four weeks old. What started as a fragile arrival has blossomed into a sassy, spirited little girl who carries herself like she’s always belonged and rules the house with confidence.
(and also has an obsession with taking large moths, bugs, and mice into my house and letting them go)
Luna Beans
the newest little presence in my home. As a polydactyl kitten with an incredible 12 toes on her front paws. Those extra toes give her oversized, mitten-like paws that she hasn’t quite grown into yet. She moves through each day with wide-eyed curiosity and soft bursts of energy, turning even the smallest moments into something warm and memorable. Whether she’s exploring, tumbling, or settling in for a peaceful nap, Luna Beans has already woven herself into the heart of this home in the most effortless way.
These animals are my heart and soul. They’ve taught me patience, resilience, and unconditional love. Along with lessons I carry into every photo session.
I know firsthand how special our pets are, and it’s my mission to capture that magic in every image.

I’m proud to be an affiliate of The Tilly Project, a nonprofit that connects families with photographers who offer compassionate end-of-life and memorial sessions for beloved pets. Their mission is to honor the bond we share with our animals by providing lasting memories during life’s most tender moments. Through this partnership, I’m able to support grieving pet parents with gentle, heartfelt photography while being part of a worldwide network dedicated to love, remembrance, and healing.

My photography journey began on a more emotional note, after I lost my beloved cat, Mia. She was just shy of six years old when she was diagnosed with liver and kidney failure. As the runt of her litter, she was slightly underdeveloped but to me, she was perfect.
After she passed, I realized I had quite a few photos and videos of her… but very few of them truly captured how beautiful and special she was. Most were low-quality or blurry, and trying to find one good enough to print was heartbreaking.
That moment changed everything for me.
I wanted to push myself to take better photos, to be able to preserve the memories of my pets in a way that truly honored them. If anything ever happened to one of my other animals, I didn’t want to feel the same regret I felt with Mia.
So, I practiced. A lot. I shared my work with family and friends, and soon, people began telling me they wished they had something like that for their own pets.
That’s when Impurrfect PawPrints was born.... and a new chapter of my story began.

More pets..
If you thought six cats and two dogs was enough.. think again!
I also share my life with six ducks and six chickens.
Four of my ducks are Mallards, and the other two are Khaki Campbells. My male Mallard, Chuck, was shipped to me all the way from California, I’ve had him for over six years now!
As for the chickens, they’re all Cochins, which means they’ve got adorable feathered feet and are much larger than your average backyard chicken. They definitely waddle around like they own the place… and honestly, they kind of do.
Ever heard of a catio?
One of the first things I knew I wanted once I had my own living space was to build a catio... and not just any catio! At the time, I already had three cats, and I knew this would be the perfect way to give them safe outdoor access and endless entertainment.
After some planning, we built a catio that’s 10 ft x 11 ft - yep, it’s big! It connects to the house with a small cat door in my window screen, giving them 24-hour access to come and go as they please.
In the winter, I add a panel of Styrofoam with a cutout door to help keep the heat in, or I simply close the window when needed.
The space is fully decked out with branches, catwalks, stairs, high shelf perches, a rope bridge, and so much more. It’s basically a cat's dream playground!
Ducks were my first official pet
When I was finishing 10th grade, I spent the entire week before begging my parents for a pet. Cats, dogs, even a hamster. I just wanted an animal to love. But when every “no” came back, I started thinking bigger. What about something I could keep outside? Horses, goats, chickens… and finally, ducks. To my surprise, ducks were the “yes” I had been waiting for.
The very last day of school, before my parents could rethink their decision, I rushed straight to the store and brought home not one..but two adorable ducklings. I learned fast that ducks are far from simple pets, and my parents quickly learned just how much chaos (and joy) two little ducks could bring. They may not have known what they were getting into, but they made one very happy girl’s dream come true.

How I Edit
I take a natural approach to editing, keeping the focus on your pet’s true personality. Each animal already has their own charm, and my job is simply to bring that forward in a gentle, authentic way. Instead of striving for flawless perfection, I aim to preserve the honest moments. The little expressions and quirks that make your pet who they are.
Leashes don’t have to distract from your portraits. I can often edit them out, or use creative posing and framing to keep them subtle. While not every leash can disappear completely, I do everything possible to make sure your images feel natural, effortless, and true to your pet’s spirit.
I’m also an affiliate of Pet Memorial Photographers - a group of caring professionals who believe every pet’s story deserves to be remembered.
